  • Bacterial and viral infections, pelvic inflammatory disease
  • Smoking, alcoholism, intoxications

Check up

  • Gynecologic examination
  • Measurement of hormone levels in blood
  • Transabdominal or vaginal ultrasound
  • Hysteroscopy and laparoscopy

Treatment

Appropriate medication, sometimes surgical treatment recommended by the gynecologist.
